When we opened our Hemsley Café at Selfridges back in April 2016 one of the main thing we wanted to do was ensure that our menu was constantly reflecting the seasons.
We love to source produce that’s in abundant supply and tasting its best. With this in mind, it’s great fun experimenting with seasonal ingredients to come up with new dishes which reflect the time of year and what our bodies (and taste buds!) are craving.
So, what’s new? Well, we’ve added a Pink Quinoa Risotto with beetroot and goats’ cheese, a spring medley salad with peas, fennel, mint and a cashew cauliflower hummus, a Primavera soup bursting with seasonal greens (suitable for vegans too), quinoa carrot toast with almond butter, banana slices and goji berries and an incredible ‘less waste more taste’ gratin made from cauliflower stalks. For dessert, we’ve added an almond tart filled with delicious, fruit mango and a chocolate ginger tart that’s decadently rich and topped with a pistachio crumble. Our afternoon tea has had a makeover too with all new mini sandwich fillings.
Don’t forget that for café updates and drool-worthy pics of more of our new dishes you can follow us on Instagram @HemsleySelfridges.
Please note, to keep things Good + Simple we follow a no-reservations policy. Pop in and if we’re full our friendly staff will seat you at the earliest convenience.
